I had a great experience with Heat Hunters. Their inspection was thorough, professional and easy to understand. They identified several areas where my home was losing energy that I never would have noticed on my own. The thermal imaging technology clearly showed where insulation improvements and air leaks were affecting efficiency.
Mr. Daniel Dalziel was very knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to explain the findings and recommendations without any pressure.
I highly recommend Heat hunters to any homeowner looking to identify energy loss and make smarter improvements to their home.

What happens on your visit
Usually about an hour, sometimes a little longer for bigger homes and commercial buildings. Times below are a rough guide.
- 10 min
We listen
You tell us what's bothering you: hot rooms, high bills, dust, smells, pests. We ask a few questions about the building.
- 30–45 min
We inspect
Into the attic, under the mobile home or up to the roof deck. We check depth, condition, moisture, pests and ductwork, and photograph it all.
- 15–20 min
We test
A blower door test shows how leaky the building really is, with a smoke pencil and thermal camera to pinpoint where.
- 15 min
Plan & price
We walk you through the photos, explain your options in order of payoff and give you a written price. Then it's your call.
A proper look, not a quick glance
Insulation depth & condition
How much is there, whether it's flattened, wet or dirty, and what it's really doing.

Ductwork
Leaky or poorly insulated ducts in a hot attic that waste what your AC produces.
Moisture & mold signs
Roof leaks, sweating ducts and damp insulation that can lead to mold.
Pests & rodents
Droppings, nesting and tunnels through the insulation, and how they're getting in.
Ventilation & radiant heat
Soffit and roof vents, baffles, and how much heat the roof deck is pushing down.

What people say about the visit
Current HVAC tech here, I had Danny come out and did a performance evaluation on my home. Working in the HVAC industry I have a decent knowledge base on air flow and humidity in the home. After Danny came over he asked questions like : if there were any concerns & what I was looking to improve.
My main concern was air intrusion and if my A/C was fighting my home cause being in the HVAC trade I know my A/C is running correctly. He measure the air intrusion with a blower door test, s arched for air leaks with a smoke wand, and after showing where the air came from with the smoke put a thermal camera to show the heat coming in through those spots. Learned a lot from talking to the gentleman and everything he said lined up with what I know from the A/C side.
Well these boys certainly were a treat. My husband and I were curious about spray foam but had some reservations. None of the other contractors who visited us really helped us feel comfortable, and my gut was telling me maybe just move on and don't do it. But then Danny came out. He spent 45 minutes just inspecting our home and then took the extra time to answer our questions and go over the heat hunters process. We felt like we finally found what we were looking for. Fast forward to installation day, and Travis and Jay did such a wonderful job. We are so happy! I was worried about smells, but no smells! Just quiet and comfortable! It's rare to have such a positive experience with a contractor. We were so surprised to get service like this in this day and age. I can't brag about them enough. Well done "heat hunters"!
