Foam is made on site
Spray foam isn't a finished product when it arrives. Two liquid chemicals are heated, pressurized and mixed at the gun, and the foam is created right on your walls or roof deck. That means the quality depends on the equipment, the material and the person spraying it, every single time.
Where low quotes come from
- Thinner coverage than specified, especially in corners and hard-to-reach bays
- The wrong material for the conditions, for example a blend not suited to Florida heat and humidity
- Old or poorly maintained rigs that can't hold temperature and pressure, leading to off-ratio foam
- Rushed passes sprayed too thick at once, which can crack, shrink or pull away
- No documentation of thickness, yields or job conditions

What it costs later
Off-ratio or thin foam doesn't air seal the way it should. Gaps and voids let humid air in, cooling costs stay high, and condensation can form in places nobody looks. In the worst cases the foam has to be cut out and redone, which costs far more than doing it right the first time.
How to compare quotes properly
- Ask what product will be used and why it suits your building and climate.
- Ask for the specified thickness and R-value for each area, in writing.
- Ask how they verify thickness on the job, and whether you get photos.
- Ask who will actually be spraying, and how they're trained.
- Ask what happens if a section is found to be thin or off-ratio.
Our commercial crews start with a building assessment and focus on operating cost, not just square footage. If you'd like a second opinion on a foam quote, we're happy to look.
