Local to Tampa

Tampa homes, from bungalows to new builds

Tampa is where we're based, and it has every kind of building we work on. Older neighborhoods near downtown have tight, low-pitched attics and insulation that's decades old. Suburbs like Carrollwood and Town 'n' Country are full of 70s and 80s homes due a reset, and newer areas like New Tampa and Westchase often have enough insulation but rushed air sealing.

  • Tight, low bungalow attics in older neighborhoods
  • Flattened 70s and 80s insulation in the suburbs
  • Hot upstairs rooms in newer, under-sealed homes

My wife and I have had pretty bad allergies since moving into this house in Florida. We met Danny at a trade show and he told us it might be because of dirty attic air coming into our living area. I was skeptical but had him over to check for air leaks and inspect the attic.

I was genuinely shocked at all the leaks he found and how nasty the attic was. I had no idea all my can lights in the ceiling were leaking so much. We had them do a full attic restoration and they got rid of all the old nasty insulation, disinfected, sealed up our ducts, and sealed up the attic floor before adding new insulation. They even installed some metal mesh around the house so rodents wont get in.

Believe it or not our allergies are not acting up at all anymore! I'm excited to see how much lower this next electric bill is too. Very happy. Thanks guys

Danny is one of those people who genuinely cares about his reputation and the quality of his work. He's knowledgeable, straightforward, and clearly takes pride in what he's building with Heat Hunters. Finding someone who cares about doing things right makes a difference, especially when it comes to your home. If you're looking for insulation or ways to improve your home's comfort and efficiency, I'd absolutely recommend giving Danny a call.

At first I wasn't sure what to expect with this company. After having everything in my attic sealed up air tight it lowered my electric bill by over $100. Would recommend them to everybody who owns a home!

FAQ

Insulation in Tampa: common questions

Quick answers. Anything else, just ask at your free inspection.

Do you work in every part of Tampa?
Yes. Seminole Heights, South Tampa, Westshore, Carrollwood, Town 'n' Country, Westchase, New Tampa and everywhere in between. Our office is in north Tampa, so most of the city is a short drive away.
Can you insulate an older bungalow with a low, tight attic?
Yes. Older Tampa homes often have shallow attics with very little room to work, and we insulate them every week. We'll show you what's possible at the free inspection, with photos.
Do you work on commercial buildings in Tampa?
Yes. We spray foam warehouses, metal buildings, offices and retail units across Tampa, specified around your cooling costs and condensation problems.
Do you charge for travel in Tampa?
No. Inspections are free anywhere in Tampa, with no travel charge.
What types of buildings do you insulate?
Homes, mobile and manufactured homes, garages, workshops and commercial buildings like warehouses, metal buildings, offices and retail units.
How long does a typical job take?
Most homes are done in a day or two. Larger removals and commercial spray foam jobs can take longer, and we'll give you a clear timeline with your price.
Will I get a price before any work starts?
Yes. You get a straight recommendation and a written price on the day of your free inspection, with no obligation to go ahead.
Do I need to be home for the work?
Someone needs to let us in at the start and check the work with us at the end. In between, you can carry on with your day.
Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why remove old insulation instead of adding more on top?

Old insulation is often flattened, patchy, damp or contaminated with dust and rodent waste. Piling new material on top buries those problems and blocks access to the air leaks underneath. Removing it lets us sanitize, seal the leaks properly, then re-insulate on a clean base, so you get the full benefit of the new insulation.

What happens at the free attic inspection?

A Heat Hunters tech checks your attic, insulation and AC, takes photos of what's up there and walks you through them. You get clear options and same-day pricing. If nothing needs doing, we'll tell you.

What's a blower door and why do your installers use it?

A blower door is a powerful fan fitted into a doorway that depressurizes the house. While it runs, air rushes through every hidden crack, which makes leaks easy for our crew to find and seal. The reading drops as leaks are closed, so we know the air sealing is working.

How long does removal and re-insulation take?

It depends on the size and condition of your attic. You'll get a clear timeline with your quote, and we work around your schedule.

What types of homes do you work on?

Homes with an attic: single-family homes, townhomes, side-by-side duplexes and mobile homes. For businesses, see our commercial spray foam services.
