80s and 90s homes due an upgrade

Most of the homes we see in Hernando went up during the Spring Hill boom, so the insulation is often 30 or more years old: flattened, dusty and doing a fraction of its original job. Out toward Brooksville and Ridge Manor, it's more mobile homes, barns and rural workshops.

Spring Hill and the surrounding area grew fast in the 80s and 90s. Many homes still have original insulation, and there are plenty of mobile homes and rural workshops too.

  • Original insulation from the 80s and 90s
  • Mobile home underbellies past their best
  • Rural garages and outbuildings

These gentlemen are class acts. Danny was very thorough and informative in his initial walk through and gave a fair price. I was impressed with his professionalism and agreed to move forward. Travis and Jay who installed were just as professional and extremely hard workers. The whole company felt like a family and they treated mine with respect. We are all very happy with the results.

My Spring Hill home still has its original insulation. Should it be replaced?
Often, yes. Insulation from the 80s and 90s has usually settled, gathered dust or been damaged by pests, so it does far less than it used to. We'll show you photos at the free inspection so you can see its condition for yourself.
Do you insulate mobile homes and workshops in rural Hernando?
Yes. We seal mobile home underbellies and insulate garages, barns and workshops across the county.
Do you charge for travel to Hernando County?
No. Inspections are free anywhere in the county, with no travel charge.
What types of buildings do you insulate?
Homes, mobile and manufactured homes, garages, workshops and commercial buildings like warehouses, metal buildings, offices and retail units.
How long does a typical job take?
Most homes are done in a day or two. Larger removals and commercial spray foam jobs can take longer, and we'll give you a clear timeline with your price.
Will I get a price before any work starts?
Yes. You get a straight recommendation and a written price on the day of your free inspection, with no obligation to go ahead.
Do I need to be home for the work?
Someone needs to let us in at the start and check the work with us at the end. In between, you can carry on with your day.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why remove old insulation instead of adding more on top?

Old insulation is often flattened, patchy, damp or contaminated with dust and rodent waste. Piling new material on top buries those problems and blocks access to the air leaks underneath. Removing it lets us sanitize, seal the leaks properly, then re-insulate on a clean base, so you get the full benefit of the new insulation.

What happens at the free attic inspection?

A Heat Hunters tech checks your attic, insulation and AC, takes photos of what's up there and walks you through them. You get clear options and same-day pricing. If nothing needs doing, we'll tell you.

What's a blower door and why do your installers use it?

A blower door is a powerful fan fitted into a doorway that depressurizes the house. While it runs, air rushes through every hidden crack, which makes leaks easy for our crew to find and seal. The reading drops as leaks are closed, so we know the air sealing is working.

How long does removal and re-insulation take?

It depends on the size and condition of your attic. You'll get a clear timeline with your quote, and we work around your schedule.

What types of homes do you work on?

Homes with an attic: single-family homes, townhomes, side-by-side duplexes and mobile homes. For businesses, see our commercial spray foam services.
