Local to Polk County

Long, hot inland afternoons

Polk is the hottest stretch of our service area in the afternoon. Older homes around Lakeland and Winter Haven's lakes sit alongside fast-built communities near Davenport and Haines City, plus a lot of mobile homes, workshops and warehouses.

Inland Polk gets less sea breeze, so roofs, garages and metal buildings bake longer every day. Add plenty of manufactured homes and fast-built new communities and there's a lot to insulate.

These guys are great. I have saved quite a bit on my electric bill - highly recommend if you're hemorrhaging money with your AC. It only runs for a few hours during the day now, before it ran constantly.

Travis and Jermiah were awesome. They were very polite and respectful. After they were finished in the attic they cleaned up any mess that they made. My wife and I would hire them in a heartbeat again. I can't say enough about this company and the crew. Again thank you very much.

FAQ

Insulation in Polk County: common questions

Quick answers. Anything else, just ask at your free inspection.

Where in Polk County do you work?
All of it. Lakeland, Winter Haven, Bartow, Auburndale, Haines City, Davenport, Lake Wales, Mulberry and everywhere in between.
Is a radiant barrier worth it in Polk County?
Often, yes. Inland homes take more direct afternoon heat through the roof, and a radiant barrier reflects much of that radiant heat before it reaches the attic. We'll tell you honestly at the free inspection whether it makes sense for your home.
Can you insulate a hot garage, workshop or metal building?
Yes. We insulate garages, workshops, barns and metal buildings across Polk with blown-in insulation, radiant barriers or spray foam, depending on the building.
Do you charge for travel to Polk County?
No. Inspections are free anywhere in the county, with no travel charge.
What types of buildings do you insulate?
Homes, mobile and manufactured homes, garages, workshops and commercial buildings like warehouses, metal buildings, offices and retail units.
How long does a typical job take?
Most homes are done in a day or two. Larger removals and commercial spray foam jobs can take longer, and we'll give you a clear timeline with your price.
Will I get a price before any work starts?
Yes. You get a straight recommendation and a written price on the day of your free inspection, with no obligation to go ahead.
Do I need to be home for the work?
Someone needs to let us in at the start and check the work with us at the end. In between, you can carry on with your day.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why remove old insulation instead of adding more on top?

Old insulation is often flattened, patchy, damp or contaminated with dust and rodent waste. Piling new material on top buries those problems and blocks access to the air leaks underneath. Removing it lets us sanitize, seal the leaks properly, then re-insulate on a clean base, so you get the full benefit of the new insulation.

What happens at the free attic inspection?

A Heat Hunters tech checks your attic, insulation and AC, takes photos of what's up there and walks you through them. You get clear options and same-day pricing. If nothing needs doing, we'll tell you.

What's a blower door and why do your installers use it?

A blower door is a powerful fan fitted into a doorway that depressurizes the house. While it runs, air rushes through every hidden crack, which makes leaks easy for our crew to find and seal. The reading drops as leaks are closed, so we know the air sealing is working.

How long does removal and re-insulation take?

It depends on the size and condition of your attic. You'll get a clear timeline with your quote, and we work around your schedule.

What types of homes do you work on?

Homes with an attic: single-family homes, townhomes, side-by-side duplexes and mobile homes. For businesses, see our commercial spray foam services.
