We had a very good experience with Heat Hunters. Our house was built in 2002 and it was obvious after they tested that a lot of corners were cut during its construction.
This is our forever home and we wanted it to be more comfortable especially during the summer/winter. So we opted for closed cell foam since it lasts much longer. We're still waiting to see how our AC bills shift (down we expect) but more importantly our home feels much more comfortable now and our sleep quality has improved which was a huge unexpected benefit since we used to struggle to sleep well. HH's service was an excellent Value. Would recommend.

Coastal heat, 2000s builds
A lot of Sarasota County was built in the 2000s boom, before Florida required homes to be tested for air leaks. Add older coastal homes that take the brunt of the heat, humidity and storms, and most properties here have room to improve.
Sarasota County has thousands of homes built before Florida required air-leakage testing, plus coastal homes, mobile home parks and commercial buildings working hard against the humidity.
- Homes built before 2017 testing rules
- Moisture in coastal crawlspaces and underbellies
- Hot west-facing roofs and garages
